Graciana Gatti

My name is Graciana Gatti, I am a biochemist with a specialization in Food Science and Nutrition graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the National University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.I have developed my career almost exclusively in the area of food-borne diseases, mainly in the area of zoonoses (diseases transmitted from animals to humans) as part of the staff of the Parasitology Department of the National Institute of Infectious Diseases Dr. Carlos. G. Malbrán for 20 years.As a member of that department and particularly of the Trichinella & Trichinellosis Laboratory, Molecular Biology section, I have numerous scientific papers published in internationally peer-reviewed journals in the field of parasitology, especially in zoonotic diseases and molecular diagnostics. I have also participated in numerous congresses and scientific events both nationally and internationally within the same area.Since I was very young, I have been interested in everything related to food; how it is made, how it is cared for and what makes it safe. Today this interest is reflected in the creation of Biosafe Alimentos from where we accompany small and medium-sized companies so they can handle food with responsibility and confidence.
